I've got 2- 150W Mono's, 4- 100W, and 4 - 100W panels on the way. I'll have 8- 12v -100AH AGM batteries, connected to an Aims 4000W-24v/120v inverter/charger. I haven't measured my roof yet, but I think I can get all 8 of the 100w panels on the west edge of my south facing garage roof. I'm thinking of either 6 or 8 and a couple of 12v or 24v screws to lift the panels to track the sun as it moves west. I'll gain a couple of hours. I plan to add to the overall setup over time. I may go with a grid tie system in addition to this battery backup system, for now what do you suggest. I have 2 small freezers, 10amps, refrigerator 9amps, 12,000 btu window ac 10.5amps. I'm putting LED bulbs in several rooms. I have a breaker box beside my main box so I can rearrange some circuits. I have a fairly large house with 2 central AC units, I'm putting the window unit in the family room window, to try to cut back on one of the main units. Is there any hope for me or have I completely lost my mind?

Hello, With a 1100 watt solar system you might be able to run the the freezer, refrigerator and AC unit for 2-3 hours per day. Those are all heavy loads so in order to power them you will need a fairly large solar system.

we live completely off grid. we havent had a electric bill in over a year. we use l.p. fridges and freezers. it really helps to keep the load usage down. we have 3 renogy 100 watt mono solar panels charging 2 vmax 155 ah agms. one 100 pound cylinder last us 6 months aND only costs $80.00. and there you go renogy new product idea. l.p. solar powered air conditioner. l.p. fridges cost about $1200.00 new or like what we did we scraped out a camper and got one for free.
