Hello All, I am working on putting a system into my van. We will be running a fantastic fan, charging computers, phones, and it will be our supplier of light. I was thinking of getting the Renogy 100 watt 12 volt monocrystalline solar complete kit (http://www.renogy-store.com/100W-12V-Mono-Complete-Solar-Kit-p/kit-complete100d.htm), but am unsure about the battery. What would be the best? With the small amount of energy needed on a daily basis, I think I do not need amp hours that high, but this may not be the case. Any help would be appreciated.

i would go with v-max 125 ah. we use to have the lead acid 125 ah and they work ok for low usage. the v-max are by far a better chose. sorry renogy but if you go to v-max web site they can give you one time 10% discount. you can buy a 155 ah at the same price renogy sells there 125 ah.

Batteries are the heart of your system. Get all you can afford would be the best answser. Personally I would use two 6v batteries in series, as the heavier plates will make your battery last so much longer, and they are built to take a significant discharge and be able to be charged back up again. Just my 2 cents.
