I have had several RVs and have solar systems on most of them. I just purchased a new 21' travel trailer to serve as our traveling motel. We have down sized from a 36' diesel pusher that we traveled in full time for 11 years. I just received my 200 watt/30 amp Adventure off grid system and am already thinking of expansion. I am primarily going to use the solar system to keep the battery charged when the trailer is stored but want to be able to watch TV, use water pump, lights, etc. while at the lake or traveling cross country. In the past I had 300 watt+ systems that allowed the above operation. I have room for one more panel and also one more battery. Should I purchase one more panel or would one more battery do the job under normal circumstances? I guess my question is: Is more charging capacity better or is more storage better? Thank you for your input .

both. what I mean is not everyone is the same. if you only use the power during the day, and very little at night then more panels, because you'll be pulling power from panel not the battery. is your battery hooked up to alternator on vehicle? if it is then more battery maybe. it really just comes down to like I said your own personal useage. we live completely off grid. the last time generator was hooked up was in January. we have 310 ah and 300 watt setup. our cc has never gone off green since.
