A $50 controller and the app and ya got data, if ya don't like data so be it
The app be free!
adobob, I'll send a message via this forum.
in these sub freezing temps it is nice to check the low voltage of day without going outside and opening the garage it is simple and not stupid unlike the stupid and not simple approach, free and easy. After a week of more away from home it is easy to see daily low voltage for each day to check on the system. Haters just hate how easy and cheap it is, so be it.

Thanks for the response, But my system is running just fine with what's included on my 60a commander CC.. Without all the new do das and time wasting apps.... KISS Well you can always go better, but if you're not interested then suit yourself. I enjoy the extra data and the potential to improve my system further down the line by having access to the extra info. Does it make your system run better or does it just make you feel better??

My system is inside so it's no problem to check it.. If your system isn't doing like you want can you change it from out of town? Since I set my system up I haven't had to change one thing... If you have to keep tweaking your system to make it work right I think you need to step up and buy one that works correctly... But I guess cheap is as cheap does... KISS

Does it make your system run better or does it just make you feel better?? Both. Which is well worth the time in both cases.

I like not having to think about mine... I have much better things to do with my time..... KISS It's not having to, it's wanting to. This is my first system and I'm tweaking and learning. If I wanted a turnkey solution I would've just paid someone and gotten it over with. So yeah, you only care about having yours work, I want to tinker and learn a bit with mine. Whatever else you do with your time I'd probably also consider a waste of time for myself, so to each their own.

I did a lot of research BEFORE I bought it so I wouldn't buy to small... But I bought what I thought would work the best for me and would do what I expected.. I seen the smaller systems that you had to tinker with to make them work right... But they weren't for me... Glad you like your system and hope it works out for you...

couldn't FULLY charge! could not respond to simple questions in this ole thread, trial and error found extra batts not the answer to how many more batts!
Oct 25, 2017 13:36:22 GMT -6 tattoo said: The answer to my question (how many more batteries) is NONE... The 4 6v batteries that I had to start with, with the 5 100w panels and a 40a CC... For it to work correctly...
When I added the 2 additional batteries the 5 100w panels I had they weren't enough to keep them charged fully with the power I was using 24/7.. So I added 3 more panels for a total of 8 100w.. Now it's working perfectly with my 40a CC from Renogy.....
Sometimes you need to take a day and read all you can about solar yourself.....

I posted the above to help people to understand how more power works, sometimes it doesn't... I know and remember what I said and what I went through before I got where I am now... What I had to finally do was take a week to read and really understand solar rather than keep reading your stupid graphs and equations.... Which you have backed way off from... What is the above reference to?? Does it have to do with what I started with in solar? If so yes I got bigger and then I got bigger after that...But what I bought to start with worked great until I wanted more power... See Bird I need to run more than a string of lights on my walkway to my fancy house like you... By the way, Remember you telling me I couldn't add the extra panels?? You were wrong...

ya just make stuff up, keep at it. LOL Yea I know it's fake news... LOL Don't be mad because people don't believe everything you say Bird... Just keep working on those lights on your walkway... You will get them to run right one day... LOL I don't know why you need an app to run a string of lights......
