Solar panels in series or parallel, and is my charge control

I feel I'm not getting the best out of my system. I have six Canadian solar 255 W 30.2V 8.3A, first question should these be wired in series or parallel. Here's the rest of my system, my,12 volt, battery bank consists of 12 marathon 190 amp hour 6 V, gell batteries. Charge controller is your Tracer MPPT40CC, I
Also have the MT – 5 meter
Second question being, is this charge controller large enough.
