I am installing 3 100 watt mono 12v panels to a 1976 motor home that I have remodeled. I will be running the panels to the Renogy 40 amp MPPT tracer charge controller. I have replaced all lights with led, replaced the old school mini fridge with a Wynter energy efficient fridge. It was suggested that with the controller that i have i would be better off running my panels in series but from everything i have been reading if i plan on being in shady areas parallel seems the better option. I started out going to run in parallel because of shading issues now i am uncertain as which would be most beneficial. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm wondering the same thing for my 400 watt system I just bought for our RV. We live in california but spend at least two months a year on our property in Wash. a few miles from canada. Up there we have full southern exposier from dawn to sundown. But the rest of the year we will be boondocking in many new to us places, and chances are there will be shade. So I'm wiring mine in Parallel. I hope I'm doing whats best. Good luck to you. Mel
