Hello Fellow Solar Fans,
I'm about to make my first solar purchase. I'm buying the Renogy 400 Watt Starter Kit and my question is about how and where to purchase the batteries. How many batteries do I need?
I'm also wondering how heavy is each panel? (approximately)
Which do you prefer, the Polycrystalline or Monocrystalline type panels?
Thank you for any guidance you may offer. I sure appreciate your input.

The panels don't matter buy what is cheapest.. 4 batteries will be just right if you are going with 6v.. But if you are doing 12v just buy 2.. I bought mine at Batteries plus they were the cheapest place to buy deep cycle.. The panels are not heavy at all I don't know the exact weight but I would guess 10lbs? Solar is fun good luck, ask many questions and keep it simple...
