I want to install my Commander 40 next to my Freedom Inverter/Charger in my motorhome. I would like to know if it is permissible to
connect the battery cables to the battery posts on the inverter/Charger rather than run the Commander battery cables directly to the batteries. Thanks for any help Jerry

Ya can, ideally the run from controller to batt is as short as possible with big wires. If your inverter DC wires are very short/big it is doable. The inverter fuse @ the batt may be too large for the controller wires/specs.
Too many RVs have the controller output run to the converter/charger and there is a LONG run to the battery with voltage drop.

Thanks for the reply Raybird. I think the inverter cables are around 8 ft and they are pretty big (2000w inverter). However I have decided to get some 4ga cables and go directly to the batteries (with a fuse inline of course). Thanks again for the help.
