I built a travel trailer from an enclosed trailer and put one 100 watt panel and one battery on it. It ran lights, tv, fan, and charged things without ever dropping below 12.7. It was great!
I bought a truck, and of course then had to have a bigger trailer. So I put two 100 watt panels, two batteries, a bigger inverter, and used the heaviest and shortest cables I could use for every connection. I wanted to run a 12v fridge/freezer. I am having two problems I can't figure out. First, the voltage doesn't stay as high as it did with the first, 100 watt system (even without the fridge plugged in.) I don't understand why. Second, I've tried 3 different inverters, and none of them work. Below is a list of my components. I followed the supplied instructions to hook the batteries up as a 12v system. Can someone help me understand why I don't get as much out of this system, and why inverters may not be working? Everything works fine except the inverters. (Fridge, tv, lights, fan, chargers)
Thanks!
