I just received my 100 W Suitcase Solar System which includes an Adventurer charger controller. The system appears to be working properly, but I am having difficulty setting the battery type. I am using a flooded 12V lead acid battery and it is already charged up. I have followed the instructions of holding the ENTER button for five seconds and then using the SELECT button to find the parameter to be changed. When I use the SELECT button, only two of the parameters appear: Power Generation Interface (kWh) and the Battery Temperature Interface. I can change these OK. The Battery Interface never appears in the scrolling so I cannot make a battery selection. The parameter I am referring to is shown below. This never appears but the other two appear when scrolling. Called Tech Support and received an immediate answer. Now I understand the instructions that say "the screen must be at the appropriate interface in order to change the specific parameter." In other words, you can only change the battery type by pressing and holding ENTER when the display shows Battery Votage: when BATT is next to the icon and xx.x V is showing. Probably me, but I think the instructions are not clear on this point. But all OK now. Happy camper.
