I need some help with resizing my solar grid? At present I have 16 ea. 100 watt Renogy mono panels wired series parallel for 48 volt system, tied to series paralleled 16 ea. 6 volt batteries 48 volt. These are tied into a 4048a Outback charger inverter. The inverter is 4.8kw and I would like to increase the amount of panels to max out the inverter. Also I just acquired 16ea 12volt batteries that I would like to series parallel into another battery bank. From what I can figure I need an additional 2400 to 3000 watts of solar to max the system. My question is can I mix the 12 volt battery strings with the 6 volt battery strings also can I use the 2400 watt renogy panels series/paralleled tied into the inverter or will I need to continue to use the 100watt panels. One other question would be how much ground space would I need for 10ea. of your 2400watt panels? I can add load to get the max load for the system as needed. Any ideas since this has to be operational before 2017? Thanks!

Hello, I wouldn't recommend mixing 12 volt and 6 volt battery strings. To keep the system working at max efficiency you will need to stay with 100 watt panels.
