Has anyone fabricated an extension cable tray to twenty-five feet? Will the Renogy "Adventurer" and MC4 connectors accommodate eight gauge wiring?

specs claim the controller can handle 'Up to #4 AWG'
distance from controller to batt should be as short as possible or you'll need the 'Remote Battery Voltage Sensor (RBVS)'
I made extensions form 50' of 10g MC4 solar wire cut in half and from 25' of 12g landscape wire allowing be to move my panel around the back yard to find sun away from tree shade.

Hello kk7gv, The MC4 connectors we carry can only take a 10 or 12 gauge wire. The 8 gauge would be too thick for those connectors. The adventurer can take a 4AWG wire but if your using a 4AWG it will be very tight fit. -A.L.
