I received my solar kit with 2 100 watt solar panels connected in parallel and a 30 amp Wanderer charge controller. I wanted a PWM charge controller with an LCD screen to view the stats. I have installed a new charge controller and the Volts is reading 20.1 and the amps from the solar panels is only 0.3A not even 1 amp. The panels are rated Vmp 18.9 and Imp 5.29A. It was a sunny hot day here and I would have expected the panels to be working at rated output. Can someone explain why the low amp output.

PV (panel) voltage or 20.1?
is it possible to share some identifying info of the new charge controller and the capacity of the battery?

The LCD screen on the charge controller showing 20.1 volts and 0.3 Amps from the panels. The CC is a Patec 30 Amp PWM charger. I have two 6 Volt golf cart batteries wired in series and they are rated at 208 Ah @ 20 hrs. The numbers above were taken when the battery voltage displayed 12.67 volts.

charge controllers limit charge when the battery is near full, I certainly have no idea why yours limits charge with batt voltage well below 14v.
