The Wanderer 30 has a green flashing light to indicate that the PV panels are producing voltage. But the green blinking light is so dim that I have to put my face directly in front of the controller to see/verify that the light is blinking. Is something wrong? Should the PV light be as bright as the other two LED's on the controller?

A Good Question. I don't have the answer. But I can tell you that I just hooked up my solar panels and 40A MPPT Charge Controller today. I noticed the same thing you noticed. The battery light on the 40A MPPT Charge Controller is really bright, but the light for the solar panels is dim. All I can tell you is that you are not alone. It would be nice to understand why. But I also purchased the RENOGY® MT-5 Tracer Meter for MPPT Charge Controller and it lets me know that everything is charging ok. Good Question, hope this helps.

LEDs - when you are in direct line of sight, it will be the brightest, moving one way or the other will reduce the intensity from which you are looking. Now if you are looking straight on and it is dim, call the guys at Renogy and see what they have to say. I only look at mine straight on when I am looking, it's they area I have them attached to. Otherwise, I use my battery monitor.

bighatnohorse is correct in what he said, "The battery light on the 40A MPPT Charge Controller is really bright, but the light for the solar panels is dim."
Looking at it straight forward you can see it lit up. But the fact is, it is very dim, unlike the Battery light which is very bright. Is this suppose to be Normal? I also use my battery monitor. It does not affect the job, but one has to wonder why so dim?
