Hi all, I have an off grid system and I'm looking for some suggestions on sizing the system correctly. I'm thinking I need solar panels and a charge controller (good/big one), maybe a charge controller that can handle another charge source such as wind?
I already have: 25 - 150ah amg 12v batteries - (3,750ah bank) 5000 w 12v inverter Gas Generator/battery charger (only charging source)
This is an off grid system which gets used approx 1-2 days a week, 10k watt per day. I realize the battery bank is probably an overkill but, I was hoping the long periods of non usage would allow them to get fully charged.
What size solar array and charge controller would you recommend? Any other thoughts on if it makes sense to change over to 24v or 48v and buying a new inverter?
