did you read the NOTE: just below how to set the battery type?
NOTE:
If the LED lights do not flash, hold the
gray button for 7 seconds again,
release, and immediately press the gray button again to enable the flashing

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I've tried that multiple times and still no flashing light. I think I will disconnect everything from the controller and start over and see if that does anything.

Hello Rabird, I am sorry the wanderer is not working the way it should.
Could you try and hold the button down for ten seconds then as quickly as possible release the button and press it again. This should start the blinking to change the battery type.
