The Renogy 500W 12V Off-Grid Pure-Sine Wave Battery Inverter appears to stop providing power when the input voltage is less than 10V ± 0.5VA. This is well below any maximum DOD recommendation and I was wondering what would be the best way to get the inverter to automatically stop providing power at a given input (battery bank) voltage.

That inverter is not adjustable, it has an LED for over/under voltage. I suppose you could build a limiter as a standalone system hooked into the inverter, but hardly worth it. Keep in mind that the unit while on, will use up to 1.9a per hour even if you don't have anything plugged into it.
