Short version: Can I use AmazonBasics RJ45 Cat-6 Ethernet Patch Cable - 25 Feet (7.6 Meters) to connect the MT-50 Remote Tracer Meter to the Commander Charger Controller?
Longer version: I am installing the charge controller near the battery bank in the storage basement of a 5th Wheel travel trailer. I assume the best location for the MT-50 Meter is inside the living space of the travel trailer at eye level (not sure how frequently I will need to check it). The 2-meter cable length sent with the MT-50 will not reach from the charge controller in the basement to inside the living space of my trailer. Can I simply replace the supplied 2-meter RJ45 8-pin cable with the AmazonBasics RJ45 Cat-6 Ethernet Patch Cable - 25 Feet?
Alternatively, would it be better to use the supplied cable and just mount the MT-50 Meter inside the trailer storage basement near the charge controller, that is only accessible from the outside? I'm not sure how often I will need to refer to this meter.
