I have a 12 volt 100 watt panel that is 50' away from the mppt 20 amp controller. What size wire do I use?

10 gauge would be adequate, voltage drop from the panel to controller would be .5v or about 3% @ 17V. If the controller is close to the batts, 10g is appropriate from controller to batt or go with 8g

now I had a question about the inverter. I will be running a 12 volt on demand water pump straight off the batteries but would like to get an inverter to run a few led lights and charge my phone when needed. also I would like to be able to turn the inverter on and off from the cabin so I don't have to go out to the shed where it will be. Do you have any suggestions on type, size and brand of inverter?

I have a 500w and a 2000w Renogy inverter with a remote and it works well but it will depend on how far your shed is away from your cabin???

It wouldn't be more than 20'. So renogy has a 500 watt that has a remote? I never saw that one on the site.
