On the adventurer model it comes with a optional remote battery voltage wire.one end has a plug, and the other end has 2 wires Did you ever get an answer to this? The one end of the battery voltage sensor has a plug that connects to the Adventurer. The other end is two bare wire ends that connect to the battery. There's no listing of polarity in the instructions. Which wire is + and which is - ?? The instructions show a bare wire without a plug, and don't mention polarity. Thanks

i probably posted this on the wrong thread earlier so I wanted to post in the correct place. I just purchased a solar kit from Renogy that included a Wanderer 12V 30A charge controller. My application if to run a 12V pump to pump water from my rain barrels to water flowers, hanging baskets, and a vegetable garden. I need to install my charge controller outdoors. Can I install it in a weather proof electric box? If so is 6" of clearance enough for ventilation? It probably is enough room - unless the weather proof box has the Arizona sun beating on it all day and afternoon - in which case no, it's too hot. I just installed a 200 watt inverter - it's instructions called for 6-inches of clearance. Also, I have the Wanderer 30A charger and it has never produced any noticeable heat - even when it's cooking the batteries on "Equalizer" charge.
