I'm very new to solar, But a few weeks ago I bought a Renogy 400 watt solar kit and a 2000 watt Inverter/charger. Renegy did not send any paper work with the inverter. So my problem is there is only one Renogy Dealer in my area. And he says I have to have a transfer switch installed as close to to shore power plug as possible. And he says that there is no built in transfer switch in the inverter charger. I called Steven at tech support he said its built in and I don't need another one. I'd love some input. Thanks, Mel

Rabird, Yes that first link is the one I bought, Renogy got back to me today and are working on sending me the paper work. I ended up having back surgery that went bad and that led to two more back surgeries in all in 3 weeks 2 months ago. So I'm out of comission and have to have this unit all installed, And I don't see the point in paying for another transfer switch plus the extra labor if I don't need it. And why does it say 20A/30A transfer switch? Wouldn't it be either a 20 or a 30?
And yes your right about that Aims Thanks, Mel
