Ok I read it... I didn't understand it but I read it.... So in plain English are you supposed to charge your batteries with an AC in the wall charger to properly charge a battery bank and not kill it? If so how do you do that when you have no ac grid access? If I am wrong can you explain it in English??? Thanks

Fully charge, what does that mean? lead acid need to be FULLY charged and with loads too large or solar too small that does not happen. There is limit solar each day, time of year, location, tile, weather ...
The author is talking to folks that use there solar every day and is under designed and suggest finding the sweet spot for voltage to FULLY charge. Yes it does require a hydrometer and knowledge of what FULLY charged is.
repetitive under charge shortens battery life = kills batteries!
Equalize, I;m sure you can search or go to the link provided in the article!

Ok I think I get it now... I use very little of my batteries power everyday.... I finally figured the sweet spot after trial and error.. From time to time I do get them down to 12.5 but that is seldom... I do have a radio and a fridge that runs 24/7. The batteries float almost everyday, even in the winter sometimes it might take two days to get fully charged again if I use a table saw, shop vac etc, but no more than two days..
So I don't think I'm killing my batteries... Am I right...

you designed well.
I run landscape lights and my morning voltage is 12.6v (7ah battery). My panel is large enough to recharge almost daily even in overcast conditions.
Folks that use too much daily and can't FULLY charge daily are loosing capacity faster than those that can.
