FYI, brand new to solar. I just installed the 30 watt Renogy 30D bundle kit today with the basic 10 amp PWM controller to recharge a 35ah deep cycle battery that I use in my micro-camper. When I hooked it up the battery showed 100% then dropped to 45% and was fluctuating between 45 and 90%. The level indication on the battery was still showing 100% but it only changes in 25% increments. Is this normal, or did I perhaps do something wrong? All controller settings are at the default with nothing connected to the output terminals.

I suggest ignoring these % readings!
I'd want my controller/panel to get my battery to 14.4+v (whatever its set pt is for type of battery) daily for some time, that would be near 100%.

I agree Rabird..... I don't know why that function is even in there..... It's useless......

Thanks for your answers. I was hoping it would be something like that. It's out in bright sun this afternoon and Battery Voltage is currently at 14.2.
