To mount my 100W Renogy panels on the roof of my travel trailer, I'd like to mount the brackets on the end of the panels. That will let me put all the mounting screws into a 2x2 roof "joist" that runs across the width of the trailer. Is it okay to mount the brackets as shown? Thanks Steve

yes, but one warning is if ya want to remove the panel without removing the screws into the roof? how do ya do that? Z brackets may hide the bolts so impossible to remove easily two piece bracket may be a better option providing a way to remove and more ventilation. amsolar.com/rv-solar-panel-kit/mounting-accessories/

some people use caulk to mount it down on the trailer, keeps debree from collecting. But as rabird said, it's better for ventilation to mount it off the surface. During the summer when it gets hot, you already lose a percentage of charging capability, why add more heat.
