Quit working in auto mode, Bought the system in march just had it installed last month. It's been working fine in our driveway(it's on our 5th wheel) last night it quit working while in the auto setting 3 dip switches broke with my finger nail no presure on dip switch at all just flipped with finger nail and 3 of them have broke. It works fine when I have it on but not in auto. I emailed Renogy, I'm sure they will make it right. Mel

Just hung up with Renogy they are replacing it with another one. So I bought a new one and when it gets here I'll send back the other and then they will put the refund back on my card. I hope it's a fluke. Mel

It does look like aims, except Aims has different air whole pattern. And Aims is $100 more

I'm no expert but I don't know how they can be the same. Print out both SPEC. sheets from each one too many differences. Wieght size surge rating and the $100 was from your first link. If they are made by Aims (Which I'm not sure what difference it makes) They sure go through a lot of trouble making changes.

Rabird I went to the last link you left and spoke to a lady named Rachel, She said when Renogy first openend up they were buying Aims products and reselling them. However she assured me that there is no longer any connection with Aims and Renogy, She said that the components are completly different in the 2000 watt inverter/charger. Again I don't know if it matters, you get what you pay for and yes I would love to buy a much higher end inverter/charger I just spent about $5000 on this set up (KIT, INVERTER, BATTERY's, cables and all the other things you find out you need). So maybe another day I'll spend a couple grand on a top of the line inverter. And yes a 2000 watt inverter is a lot of juice, but my wife and I camp off grid for months so we needed 1800 Min. Anyway 6 or 7 hundred buck is all can afford right now so since I bought the 400 watt kit from Renogy I figured I'd try there inverter. Reading specs. side by side it looks to me like Aims might be the better of the two

Spiderbob, Yes me too! When I talked customer service they told me that he had never heard of it before either. I'm a big guy with big thumbs, but when 3 dip switches broke just by pushing or flipping with my thumbnail I thought no way. So I'm thinking it quit working in the "auto on" was becuase of the position of the broken Dip switchs. So he emailed a return shipping label and said send it to them and he would get a replacement to me. But the day this happend we were leaving for our first trip with a new to us 5th wheel and our first ever solar system. So I just ordered a new one left for a 9 day trip to the coast and three days later my nieghbor had my package in his house for me. So we ran the inverter in the on position, which as you know runs more amps. But the system was great, we didn't ever run below 12.2 volts most mornings before sun up I had 12.4v So today I switched out the inverter/charger and sent the old one back and they said they would give a full refund back to my card. I'm very impressed with Renogy C/S but also how well my system worked even with a crippeled inverter. Mel

That is good to hear, they have been getting a bit of bad rap lately. I know people come here to help and others to complain, so it is nice to hear those that come to praise, as when something works most don't say nothing, until it doesn't that is LOL

So just wanted to give an update. So received the 2nd 2000 watt inverter/charger Removed the broken one installed the new one and returned the broken one to Renogy, I also sent CS an e-mail telling them it was on the way. with in an hour I received a reply from Renogy telling me that when they get it they will check it out and refund back to my card within 24 hours. AND THEY DID Renogy is a very good Co. and I will be a customer for life. Oh the replacement worked great on another 10 day trip to the ocean in Sonoma county Ca. Dip switch proplem was a FLUKE I think. Mel
