Just got my Lycan - love it so far for running astronomical observatory equipment. But I'm pretty new to this solar business. I have two flexible 100w panels I got from Amazon hooked up in series to charge the Lycan. In semi-bright weather I was getting values at the Lycan of ~30v and 4+ amps at the top end. I calculate it at 30x4=120 watts - is that reasonable? Clouds brought it down significantly. I was told series was the best way to hook up to the Lycan, is that correct?

series is easiest.
120 watts is little low for 200 watts of panels, but ok for semi-bright!

Does the state of charge affect the charging statistics? Today in bright weather I'm getting 3.9amps at 30v with a charge at 89%.

Yes, typically as the battery gets full it can not accept charge at a high rate, that is the job of the charge controller one mode of charging is absorption, when the batt has reached max voltage, the controller maintains this voltage as the current tapers. the mode switches to maintenance at either some elapsed time or a very low current. the lycan a lithium battery? its charging characteristics are unknown to me.
The direction the panels are pointed and the temperature of the panels also limit charge.
Battery Capacity: 21Ah, that could also limit how fast it charges.
