I understand from the literature that the max torque for the battery posts tightening should not be exceeded. However, nowhere in the Renogy manuals, spec sheets, etc does it mention the torque for the batteries. What is the max torque to be applied to the bolts? Thanks

Deep sell what??? Gel, flooded? voltage?? Top post, stud, 10mm bolt? Much more info is needed.... as tattoo stated, need more information. The type of terminal connection will determine the torque requirements (i.e. post/threaded stud/etc.) as the battery connection ultimately is the limiting factor and not the bolt grade, size and thread-per-inch. Which is what determines torque values for the rest of the world's fasteners... The Renogy Deep Cycle Pure Gel Battery 12V 100Ah (RNG-BATT-GEL12-100) you referenced I believe uses the 'F12' type 'receptacle terminal'. The 'F12' is a bolt that threads into the top of the battery, correct?. I believe the bolt is a metric M8 size, correct? I don't know the grade (8.8, 10.9, etc.) but that does not matter. Some batteries have different size terminals for negative versus positive, I suspect that is not the case with the battery you are inquiring about... I don't know if you can read the insert...if you can, it lists the following; Terminal type F12 Button M8 (bolt size) Terminal Torque 11 Nm (97.36 lb-in) of torque Terminal Torque 8 Ft-lbs of torque Caution; this in not the Renogy recommendation. This is from another source. However, it does align with with a standard 'rule-of-thumb' recommendation for a typical "marine battery", with a stud post, the torque is usually 95 - 105 lb-in or 11-12 Nm. Again, not official but this is what I have available to me...hope it helps.
