So my wife and I are a 8 days into a trip with our RV 5th wheel. We have a renogy 400 watt eclipse premium kit with a renogy 2000 watt inverter charger for the first 5 days everything worked as it should. One day I think it was the 3rd day I ran my Champion 3400 watt inverter generator for the A/C and for 5 hours or so the inverter was charging. Then 4 days ago we moved to another camp site 30 miles away. So last Monday we were setting up camp batteries were fully charged and inverter was working the ceiling fan. About 3:00 pm it was about 100 degrees so I fired up the generator and ran the A/C for about an hour or so and I checked my mt-50 and I could tell the inverter/charger was not charging. I checked everything I even had my 30 amp surge protector plugged into the generator it was working perfectly. So I called support and talked to Stephen he was very helpful but couldn't figure it out. So he was going to talk to someone else and call me Tuesday afternoon or yesterday. I haven't heard back from him yet all though cell phone reception is spotty??? So I only get about 1 hour or so of good charging sun I needed to charge my batteries, I have disabled my converter since having the inverter/charger installed. So I killed all power and I hooked up the wire that I had unhooked and I heard the generator rev up from the load of the converter charging. Ok so I check inverter still not charging, an hour later I looked again and inverter was charging. So I unhooked converter again and after starting generator the inverter was not charging again. Hooked up converter again and both converter and inverter are charging??? I won't be home for a few weeks so I guess I have to run it this way unless when we move in a few days we hopefully can find a sunny spot and charge with solar. Any ideas what's up with this inverter/charger?
