I just got a 100 watts suitcase with 30 amp Adventurer controller. It came with what looks like 12 awg wire with inline fuse rated at 10 amps at the battery clip. I upgraded to 10 awg because I need longer extension. I want to use 30 amp fuse inline to battery. Just wondering why Renogy included only 10 amp fuse, which is rated for 16 gauge wire.

cheap sobs. Whom ever they get them from know that 100 watts ain't gonna exceed 6-7 amps in extreme cold/bright light so there is no reason to use a bigger fuse.
while 30A and 10g go 'together' there is noting saying you need to max the fuse rating to the wire size, it is ok to use a less fuse.
