We have the 100 v system, brand new. So far loving it, but we have questions. We have a port on our Rpod trailer that we plug into. The panels and charge controller are on a portable stand that we will put in the tow vehicle to transport. Can we just unplug from the Rpod port, with the panels plugged into the charge controller, and stow it like that? Will the charge controller be damaged if electricity is coming into it from the panel, but not going into the trailer? Is there a hazard of shock or fire? thanks so much!

There is a possibility of damaging the charge controller if the solar panel is connected without a battery. If there is a solar panel connected to the charge controller without a battery the electricity will flow without anywhere to go. This will cause the input circuit of the controller to break.
