elliott, each pair of 6v in series is one 12v @ 235ah 3 12v (series pairs of 6v) tied together in parallel would be 3X235ah or 705 ah that makes up one big 12v battery bank. see 4 x 6v in series/parallel at the bottom of www.altwindpower.com/battery-series-parallel.php

Wow, I think I just ruined my charge controller. This was even before I received your info. There was a POP....... Don't remember what I was doing, but now it doesn't show my panels, though I have voltage coming from the panels and to the batteries. Also, can't seem to set the parameters for anything, even the time. I will not allow me to set focus on the date, hour or minute to change anything. I was going to post a pic but don't see where to do it, or any mention of it. I'm freaked, because we are totally off grid. At first it showed a fault, but I don't know what the fault is. Then That went away. I forgot exactly where I found this info, but it says : No 212/213 Batt UVW/Begin 2017-12-11 11:41 Para 11.99V
Have I destroyed this controller, does it have any internal fuses that might have blown? It didn't blow any in-line fuses

I just spoke with Tech Support who stated that the 60 Amp MPPT charge controler is only rated for 8 100 watt panels Max, and said I probably destroyed it. 500.00 plus overnight shipping of 50.00

I thought you could only run 8. How did you have them run? Parallel, series or both?? Bet you did blow it since it's cold today there...

By the way how long did you have to hold before you got to talk to anyone at Renogy?? I've never had any luck... And don't bother to have them call you back...

Well, it was overcast yesterday when I installed them, so no problem. It's very sunny today, and I guess I was just there at the right time to witness the POP! They were run in parallel. What do you know about the Midnite Solar MPPT Charge Controller CLASSIC 150 Lite?

Always have had good luck with Renogy Tech support. Very helpful people up there. I guess I had about 5-10 minutes or so, but here is an option to leave your number and they would call back. Never had to use it though.

www.renogy.com/template/files/Manuals/CTRL-CMD60.pdfpage 10 and 11 elliot, there is no need to go MPPT with paralleled 100w panels! With paralleled you did not exceed the max solar voltage input with paralleled you did not exceed 3 times the rated power WARNING: The Commander will be damaged if the PV array is 3X greater than the actual operating power of the controller. Call em back and demand a replacement! I'd be opening up the controller looking for blown fuse You do not want to disconnect the controller from the battery with the panels connected esp MPPT.

Yep that's what I think also bird that's why I asked how he had them run... I'm not sure if it has a fuse but it should.. But with that said if he opens it up it will void the warranty... I think it was a bad CC myself..
