Pretty sunny day today 2.6kwh/d High voltage 29.9v. I noticed at dark I get 2.1 volts from panels, wonder why could it be ambient light or something? Hey maybe its starlight. Didn't get time to check the other batteries. Just curious why would you think closer to 1150. The one battery I checked was 12.65. Got a text from my brother in PR. Still has no power after all this time working off a very loud old generator. Goes for gas every day. He talked with power people they estimated April. Says he has no money for solar. Thinking about helping him out. Saw some Duracell 6volt gc batteries for $99 215ah. Do you know anything about them? They get so much wind he needs a combination. Wind blows at night to good combination. Maybe good for 8 batteries at 48 volts. 60amp charge controller. 250 watt panels. What do you think? Can you integrate wind with the commander?

Now that's awesome on the kwh, that's what you should be making with so many panels.... It's moon light...
Those are GREAT batteries... That's the same ones that I have... $99 is a great price but I'm sure their is shipping involved...
1265 is very good.. Was that on a new battery or one of your old ones? If that's old one that's nice but lets see what they all are... But you do have very few batteries for so many panels.. That's why I still say when you have the room you need more batteries..

My old battery is only April 2017 not really old, I couldn't let it go. The three new ones are 1 week old checked this morning 1265-1275. This is measuring soc or voltage or both? I want to check it in am when it is still dark to see if the measurement is the same as what the meter reads without pv charge. It seems my batteries are not running down much at night. I started leaving the inverter on all night. Just using it for tv and lights. Wondering if I can leave the fridge running on batteries all night with the 4 batteries without hurting them. It is an energy efficient standard small refrigerator. It uses 200 watts except 400 for defrost cycle. Couldn't find any info on not using heater or ac with solar. Cant understand that. DC to battery. Pure sinewave to heater should be ok. I think my daily harvest and saving would be higher with using heater on solar.

LOL Damn man your stuck on the SOC....... Forget about it... A hydrometer tells you the health of the batteries... KISS I will say this again, Using solar to run heat or air will never work well unless you have a much larger system than you have now.. You can't find info because it's not recommended,,, Sure leave everything on at night, You should be just fine...

Heat is only 500 watts on setting 1, AC is 900 watts, whats the problem? Can you point me to info that says what the problem is? My soc worry is to keep above 50% to protect the batteries. What will the hydrometer read when the batteries turn bad? Does just one cell bad ruin the battery.

Battery voltage shows 29. Controller amps 28. Inverter using 542 watts at 18 amps. Full sun heater on. The fan on inverter isn't on but its 55 outside.

Does just one cell bad ruin the battery. Yes one bad cell will kill a battery... I don't think you have ever said... What is your battery voltage in the morning after you leave everything on at night??

Every thing good with fridge plugged in overnight 25.7 in am. Partly cloudy day today 2.6kwh today. Dark now voltage reads 25.8 under no load. Must be near 100% ready for another night all solar. Thanks

Thanks See I told you you needed more batteries... Yea bird doesn't know anything about adding more batteries.... Now if you want to know about graphs or lights in a walk way he is your man...

I'd keep the fridge on all the time, seems to charge the battery!
I believe you can get an estimate of the SoC for each of these voltages
What would be a minimal battery voltage that would rep 50% discharged?
When your new batts showed up you measured their sg and recorded and reported that? Then you put all through through a full charge with bubbles and measured sg, recorded this for base line in the future and reported? You've searched or asked the battery maker for the correct charging voltage, how often to equalize and what voltage, float voltage ...?
