Renogy does run these forums and does answer some of the questions asked here. But moderating a forum takes a lot of time and effort. LOL After thinking about the above I had to respond.. I've seen faster snails than this forum goes.. A moderator could look once a day and answer every question that has been asked if any were asked at all... I think the reason this forum isn't any better is because many questions don't get answered and I guess people think why bother asking at all.. There is a lot of good info here and several of the questions on here that weren't answered are some of what I wanted answers too.. Thanks to all that answered my questions that has been a lot of help.... I asked a question above with no responses... Is there is any other forums about Solar energy? I can't find any so far...

I got the 500w inverter hooked up yesterday ran my fridge all night went down this morning at 8am with just an hour of sun light.. Low and behold the batteries were at 13.1.. Like I thought the 2000w inverter was pulling to much power at idle for my system.. It wasn't the AC fridge that was the problem... But I never thought it was...
My 2000w inverter is still there in case I need it for what ever bigger stuff I need to run during the day and all the 500w does is run the fridge and two lights...
So problem solved...

Thanks that's great advice... My new batteries are working so well when I get my 500w inverter in I'm going to try what I'm thinking and I will let you'll know how it works out... I bet it's going to work... Keeping fingers crossed..

I know there are 12v appliances... I was told by the Renogy tech people that 12v items aren't that much more efficient so right now I'm not going that way but thanks for the advice...

^^^ Yep I'm learning very quick what you can do and what you can't.. I think I have a good handle on it now.. I thing I'm still trying to figure out is how are you running a fridge if your not running an inverter 24 7?

I always search for my question before I ask it on any forum.. But many times forums search functions are junk.. This one works very well but there really isn't that much info here.. Hence the reason for my original question..
I did come back and give the answer to my question and that I found my problem... This forum is very small and would be no trouble to monitor... But I guess people have other more important priorities I guess...
Thanks for the responses..

Yep you have a very good point and that's what I'm trying to say.. I asked questions here before I called.. Most of what I needed to know I figured it was asked before but after doing some searching I didn't find the answer so I asked... and then I called several times..
Like you I think if the most answered questions were on here people wouldn't have to call tech??? But they might want people to call? I don't know??

Don't get me wrong there is loads of info out there on solar but it just gets your toes wet..
I looked for weeks about solar info before I bought my system.. I thought I was buying what I needed by what I had read and watched for my needs.. Boy was I wrong.
I've been wondering? So many questions on here not just mine don't get answered and I was wondering why?? I think this forum is run by Renogy am I right?? If it is why wouldn't Renogy answer questions on here too?? That way the answer to questions are easy to find for everyone instead of calling Renogy tech help which is great. When tech answers my question the only people that know the answer is me and tech that seems like a waste of information to me... It's like Solar power is a secret?? At least it seems that way to me....
I think Renogy is missing out on sales.. But what do I know I'm still trying to learn this stuff... Like many on here are..

Oh yea, I did find out that my 2000w inverter was using at idle more power than I've been using out right. So I ordered a 500w inverter to run all the time and keep the 2000w for times when I need the extra power...
What do you guys think and how would you suggest I hook it up.. I have a good idea but I would like some suggestions. Thanks

I changed out my entire bank of batteries two days ago....... My problem is fixed.. I seen 14.8 volts for the first time... my batteries are staying around 12.9 at night when idle... Before they would be 12.2 at night after a sunny day at idle....I like these batteries much better. Now I can start seeing what I can run at night....
Thanks for everyones help...
