Ok I figured it out.......... But I would still like to know about the two back light settings..

I've been thinking about this... What I'm guessing is like a lot of things in the manual you have to decipher and read between the lines. There are two settings off and on am I right? If that's true that's just one brightness not two. Am I right Admin?

from a mt5 manual 'The LCD has two different brightness levels. After any button is pressed the display will be in high brightness and backlight. To save power, the backlight automatically turns off after 30 seconds.' I read that part in the manual... Hench my question on how to adjust it since there is two levels if you can adjust it. It's so bright I can't read it without a flash light after the back light goes out...

Ok I got my 400w system up and running........ It's doing great but when I search on my MT-5 tracer the back light is to bright. I've searched and have found that there is two settings but I haven't found how to change it..... Can someone help?

Thanks for clearing that up. That makes since and I was planning on mounting it horizontal anyway but I was wondering why? What I've seen most people mount them wrong.. Many thanks

Ok I'm confused. I guess I'm missing something. Can someone explain what direction they are talking about? WARNING: The inverter should never be mounted vertically on a vertical surface since it would present a hazard for the fan opening which is crucial for cooling the inverter.
When looking on the internet to me that's the way everyone mounts there inverter.
